Picking up from her debut EP, this eight track collection is another reason why we should be excited by Martin’s upcoming album. Talk To Strangers is somehow haunting, and Last Day On Earth just begs to be used during a heartbreaking moment in a movie. There is some overlap between this and her debut EP, so if you missed that, this is essential. Her influences are still clear to see, Kate Bush and Tori Amos being perhaps the most obvious, along with the occasional hint of eighties synth, notably on the intriguing outro to a new version of Raven.
